The main purpose of the Agios Aimilianos Residents’ Club is the development of ties and the creation of relationships between the members of the Club and the local cultural associations. Our aim is to alert the public, the State and the local authorities about the challenges that the members of our Club face.
Another of its purposes is the spiritual, cultural and social growth of our members as well as the preservation of the region’s natural beauties, and the environmental protection from acts or omissions of third parties that result in harming the environment.

Welcome to Agios Aimilianos!
Even though a temporary solution has been announced, the problem with the rubbish remains. The reason behind this problem, according to our sources, is that the Municipality can only absorb 25 tons of rubbish per day, while the total volume of rubbish in the Municipality of Ermionida is much higher. And even though, the region of Agios Aimilianos brings in the highest income in the entire Ermionida region from council tax, it seems to be the last in line for rubbish collection. Many other places in the region are being regularly serviced while in Agios Aimilianos the rubbish is flushing the streets. The community of Agios Aimilianos, in addition to several verbal and written complaints to the Municipality, has created this poster that has been affixed on the areas rubbish bins.

The citizens have won the case against the shipowner who blocked the Kounoupi beach
Court judgement that opens up the road to the beach
According to the decision of the Massitos Magistrate’s Court, issued on the 27 July 2013, the landowner ship tycoon (and his neighbour) have to comply with the court order by …”removing the fencing of his property, in order to create a road at least 4,25 metres wide, to allow citizens access to the “Kounoupi” beach”.
The decision was prompted by the submission of a court claim for protective measures by our Club jointly with two more environmentalist clubs of the area….

The funding of our Club comes mainly from an annual subscription paid by the residents-members of the Club and from various sponsors and kind donations. Having sufficient funds allows the Club to take appropriate action and to tackle issues within our community that are not being sponsored by the Local Authorities or the State.

Step down safe to "Kalamoti"
Our community has covered the expenses to design and construct new steps that lead to the scenic pebbly beach of "Kalamoti". The "Kalamoti" beach is situated at the end of the Kyriakou property, at the North side. It was named "Kalamoti" because of the canes (kalamies) that grow in the surrounding area. Running waters have destroyed the old steps and access to the beach was very difficult and dangerous.
